By giving detailed examples of varied practices in small-scale art publishing, the author examines how these practices have allowed Asian people to communicate via information exchange, to engage in political activities in alternative ways, and how they have helped us reimagine localness of small cultural or ethnical communities against the backdrop of a globalized homogeneity.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The author also sees the production and distribution of small-scale art publishing as technological innovation with possibilities to build a cross-regional network.
